Responsibilities
Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity
Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization for entry, directing visitors and contractors to appropriate check-in processes and restricted-area requirements
Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or public responders as required by post orders
Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, documenting observations and maintenance or operational concerns noted during rounds
Qualification
Required
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience
Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED
Be at least 21 years of age
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
