Responsibilities

Obtain and evaluate historical and regulatory records
Interview local and state agencies
Assesses background information and data; records, compiles, and interprets data; and prepares text, tables, and figures for reports
Accurately interpret data relative to applicable regulations and standards
Provide ongoing support to the Due Diligence team
Prepare Phase I ESA reports with minimal support from senior managers to achieve quality goals, meet schedules, and remain within budgets
Prepare Phase I ESA proposals and other scopes of work as needed at the direction of senior managers
Implement project quality control procedures to produce products that meet Farallon standards

Required

Bachelor of Science or Arts in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline required
Ideally 3-5 years of experience of Phase I ESA report writing experience
Valid State driver's license and clean driving record
Understanding of ASTM E1527 and E2247 and the requirements to satisfy USEPA All Appropriate Inquiries
Strong knowledge of California State environmental framework and regulations
General compliance knowledge of air, industrial wastewater, solid waste, hazardous waste, stormwater, and hazardous materials storage are desirable
Strong organizational and time management skills and understanding of consulting business practices
Strong written, communication, and Microsoft software suite skills

Preferred

Previous or current experience in environmental consulting strongly preferred, specifically due diligence and Phase I ESAs
