Responsibilities
Lead RF anechoic chamber scene generator design and upgrade efforts, including defining requirements, developing the technical baseline, and driving implementation plans
Own chamber performance targets and translate them into system-level and facility-level design choices
Architect RF signal paths supporting HIL operation, including antennas, positioning/turntable systems, RF switching, filters/attenuators, couplers, power monitoring, and calibration approaches
Develop acceptance, verification, and calibration procedures; execute and/or oversee chamber certification testing and produce clear technical reports
Work with vendors and subcontractors to create SOWs, review designs, manage technical risks, and provide on-site oversight during installation and commissioning
Establish operational processes including maintenance plans, configuration control, safety procedures, and troubleshooting guides to ensure long-term facility availability and reliability
Support HIL stakeholders by diagnosing measurement anomalies, identifying root causes (RF, grounding, EMI/EMC, software, configuration), and driving corrective actions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum of 10 years of RF engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of complex RF systems or facilities
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment and measurements, including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters
Experience designing or integrating RF environments and systems such as antennas, feed networks, RF switching, filters/attenuators, couplers, shielding/grounding, and EMI/EMC mitigation
Ability to develop requirements and technical baselines, write specifications and SOWs, and lead technical execution with vendors and multi-disciplinary teams
Strong documentation and communication skills with the ability to produce designs, test plans, and acceptance reports suitable for formal review
Direct experience designing, upgrading, or certifying RF anechoic chambers
Experience supporting HIL facilities, automated test execution, and closed-loop RF stimulation and measurement systems
RF and EM simulation experience (e.g., HFSS, CST, FEKO) and/or facility layout modeling for antenna placement and quiet-zone performance
U.S. Citizenship with Active TS/SCI Security clearance and ability to maintain the designated security clearance level is required
