Program Manager - Early Childhood Core

UCLA Health's Early Childhood Core (ECC) focuses on enhancing systems for young children and families through impactful training and interventions. The Program Manager will lead training initiatives, develop curricula, and support professionals in applying trauma-informed care in various settings.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage professional development programs that promote trauma-informed, culturally responsive care for young children and families
Work closely with medical providers, mental health professionals, and educators to support the application of evidence-based approaches
Engage in all phases of program development and delivery, including curriculum design and writing, development of evaluation protocols, and partnership building
Oversee operations, facilitate team meetings, set and manage project timelines, delegate tasks, and support program staff and faculty

Required

Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of education & experience
5 years of experience developing training materials or other materials for paraprofessionals, educators, or other providers
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to support trainees at a distance (via web-based and telephonic consultation)
Ability to communicate complex information to people with varying levels of education and training and different learning styles
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, and willingness to learn new computer-based systems for worksite management
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail

Preferred

Knowledge of manualized psycho-educational training programs and evidence-based interventions
Knowledge of Los Angeles Department of Mental Health and other LA County systems
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and practices to include: multiple learning modalities, interactive training and learning design, on-line/e-learning design principles, distance learning, instructor-led training, self-paced instruction, and evaluation methods
Master's Degree in a mental health or education related field (e.g., MA, MSW, MFT, MEd)
