Maintenance Technican

Cadence Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to help maintain their operations. The role involves conducting routine inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that the facilities and equipment run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment
Service HVAC systems: replace filters, clean ducts, and troubleshoot performance issues
Inspect and maintain electrical systems, including lighting and wiring
Perform plumbing repairs: fix leaks, unclog drains, and maintain fixtures
Complete light carpentry work, including repairing doors, windows, and furniture
Paint and finish surfaces for upkeep and aesthetics
Maintain outdoor areas: landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep
Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery
Respond quickly to emergency repair requests
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and work orders
Install and set up new equipment and ensure proper functionality
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors
Provide excellent service to internal teams by addressing facility-related concerns

Required

Previous experience in facility maintenance, building services, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills across multiple disciplines (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Comfortable using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic power tools
Proficiency with computers and mobile devices, including: Email and communication tools, Work Order Management Systems and CMMS software, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Familiarity with BAS (Building Automation Systems) and maintenance software
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dirt, dust, oils, grease, noise, and various temperatures at times
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and climb for extended periods during assigned shifts
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Must be able to work assigned shifts, including overtime and on-call hours as needed
Willingness to follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required
High school diploma or equivalent required

Preferred

Technical training or certifications in maintenance-related trades
