Responsibilities
Handle preparation and shipment of products according to shipping orders
Load cargo into/onto various types of trucks using forklifts and other equipment
Complete bills of lading and other required shipping documentation
Perform small parcel packaging, including label preparation
Wrap or arrange materials in shipping containers using appropriate packing materials
Interpret packing specifications and calculate container sizes and dimensions based on drawings or measurements
Select appropriate barrier and cushioning materials to ensure safe transport
Choose correct hardware such as nails, nuts, bolts, and other fastening materials
Ensure all products are properly packed and secured for shipment
Maintain accurate records and communicate shipment details via email and computer systems
Follow all safety, quality, and shipping procedures
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in packaging and forklift operation
Ability to read and interpret packing instructions, drawings, and measurements
Basic computer skills including email and shipping systems
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and time management skills
Reliability with consistent attendance
3–5 years of experience in shipping, packaging, and forklift operations
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred
