Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, measurement, and sustainability of CW segment quality and patient safety program; with an aim of reducing preventable harm and producing quality outcomes by assisting others in identifying, assessing, and analyzing systems and processes to mitigate risk by focusing on high reliability principles
Collaborates on hospital-wide patient safety initiatives. with a focus on hospital identified priorities including hospital-acquired conditions, error prevention, leadership methods, and cause analysis
Acts as a change agent to lead, facilitate, and support hospital and medical staff to create and sustain a culture of high reliability
Manages and oversees the coordination of the segment daily Safety Huddle and ensures processes are in place for appropriate follow up, resolution, and communication
Ensures quality, safety, and patient experience efforts are integrated with the Hospital Operating System and there is an appropriate flow of quality and safety information between Safety Huddle, Leadership Huddle and unit/department DMS huddles
Establishes & executes standing calendar of reports by relevant segment stakeholders
This position will work with individuals at all levels of the CW segment on the execution of plans to improve key performance metrics in categories including, but not limited to: patient safety, quality & regulatory, waste reduction, patient experience, employee engagement and external metrics

Qualification
Required
Masters degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or other clinical field
At least 5 years experience in progressive management or administrative experience at a strategic level managing clinical operations
Demonstrated skill in project management and process redesign
Documented strong interpersonal communication skills and achievements in leading teams
Ability to work effectively across organizational lines and with diverse people
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where high energy, resiliency and attention to detail are required
Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheets and data base
Preferred
Experience with CW services in a health care system
