Responsibilities
Performs or arranges for preventive and demand maintenance on a wide variety of equipment, including electrical, plumbing, and process equipment
Supports reliability-centered maintenance program(s) at the site by performing or coordinating completion of predictive maintenance activities such as equipment vibration analysis, oil/lubricant analysis, ultrasonic thickness or other non-destructive testing, infrared heat mapping, etc
Conducts and documents activities in a manner that maintains facility compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), process safety management (PSM), and other applicable regulations
Provides maintenance expertise in support of manufacturing investigations, failure and root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning and execution
Strictly follows all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures and supports efforts to improve facility EHS performance
Attends all required training and complies with the responsibilities associated with the maintenance technician position as detailed in the applicable Standard Operating Procedures
Conducts maintenance-related training sessions as required
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma with 4 years experience in manufacturing facility maintenance, with experience in maintenance of GMP process equipment
Technical School or Associate Degree is desirable
Problem solving, troubleshooting, and repair skills for a wide variety of systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, welding, control valves, pumps, etc
Possess intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with Maintenance Department objectives with minimal supervision
Ability to work effectively with operators, engineers, contractors, and vendor representatives
Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance requests on off-shifts
