Responsibilities
Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes
Support benefits administration including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and coordination with benefit providers
Assist with recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination
Maintain personnel files in compliance with legal and organizational standards
Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
Support training and development initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Participate in HR projects and process improvements
Qualification
Required
Human resources expertise
Experience with open enrollment and benefits administration
Knowledge of managing personnel files and ensuring confidentiality
Proficiency in employee relations and HR administration
Strong data entry and payroll skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based organization
Knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
Experience with benefits administration and open enrollment support
Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
Familiarity with ADP or similar HR platforms
