Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of medical malpractice and liability defense cases, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
Handle court appearances and arguments with confidence and professionalism
Communicate promptly and effectively with clients, experts, and co-counsel
Draft and respond to discovery demands, pre-answer motions, and dispositive motions
Conduct depositions and develop case strategies under partner guidance
Collaborate with senior attorneys while maintaining the ability to work independently
Provide strategic recommendations for case evaluation and settlement
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admission to practice in New York (required)
3–8 years of medical malpractice and/or general liability defense experience
Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Strong attention to detail, organization, and client service
Ability to manage a substantial caseload efficiently in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, analytical mindset with enthusiasm for complex litigation
