Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and filings
Handle state and federal court filings, including e-filing, and maintain familiarity with the full litigation lifecycle
Manage calendaring and deadlines with precision
Assist with daily overflow work, administrative tasks, and special projects
Support attorneys with business litigation matters; transactional support is a plus
Maintain organized files and assist with document management
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of legal assistant experience, preferably in civil or business litigation
Strong knowledge of California state and federal court rules and filing procedures
Excellent proofreading, writing, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (2010 or later), Outlook, and document management systems such as iManage or similar
Strong typing, formatting, redlining, and editing skills
Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Preferred
Experience with CompuLaw, Best Authority, Adobe Pro, Comparite, and CCC Macros is a plus
Transactional support is a plus
