IT Receiving/Pre-Deployment Technician (LOG I) (Government)

The IT Receiving/Pre-Deployment Technician is responsible for receiving, inspecting, configuring, and processing incoming IT hardware and related equipment, ensuring compliance with inventory and security protocols.

Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries of IT hardware, software, and peripheral equipment
Unpack, label, and document incoming shipments in accordance with company procedures
Conduct quality checks to ensure all equipment is undamaged and meets order specifications
Accurately enter asset and configuration information into inventory management systems
Coordinate with procurement, IT, and other departments to confirm delivery accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Prepare equipment for deployment, including initial configuration, imaging, or staging as required
Safely handle and store sensitive equipment in compliance with company policies
Assist with physical inventory audits and cycle counts
Support asset disposal and returns processes, adhering to data sanitization and security protocols
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area, following OSHA and company safety standards
Document and report any damages, shortages, or other issues to management promptly
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in IT or logistics preferred
1 year of experience in a receiving, warehouse, or IT support role preferred
Familiarity with IT hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment) and basic configuration processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with inventory management and asset tracking systems
Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record and be eligible to drive an AT&T company vehicle
Work Environment: This position is primarily based in a warehouse or receiving environment and may require extended periods of standing, lifting, and moving equipment
