Behavioral Health Clinician (LSW/LAC)

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is a CARF-accredited, nonprofit provider of outpatient substance use and mental health services. They are hiring a Part-Time Licensed Clinician (LSW or LAC) to support their Behavioral Health program across Burlington and New Brunswick locations, focusing on trauma-informed, culturally responsive care. The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing counseling services in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct biopsychosocial assessments for mental health and substance use needs
Develop person-centered treatment plans in partnership with clients
Provide individual and group counseling (in-person and telehealth)
Use evidence-informed practices (e.g., MI, CBT/DBT-informed skills, relapse prevention, coping skills) as appropriate
Support clients with stress management, emotional regulation, recovery supports, and community resources
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and strengthen outcomes
Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the EMR in accordance with program standards and compliance requirements

Qualification

Active New Jersey licensureMasters degree in Social WorkTrauma-informed careProficiency with EMRsBilingual skillsBasic computer skillsClinical judgmentGroup facilitation experience

Required

Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (accredited program)
Active New Jersey licensure: LSW or LAC (required)
Commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care
Strong clinical judgment, boundaries, and professionalism
Comfortable managing a caseload independently while working collaboratively
Proficiency with EMRs and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Preferred

Experience in outpatient behavioral health, SUD treatment, co-occurring disorders, MAT/OTP settings, or community mental health
Group facilitation experience
Bilingual skills (Spanish/other languages)
