Responsibilities

Overseeing the inspection of materials and workmanship for construction improvement projects within Engineering District 12
Ensuring that all work adheres to approved construction plans, standards, specifications, and contract documents
Applying sound engineering principles while managing moderately complex construction projects or phases of more intricate projects
Utilizing engineering judgment to analyze, advise, and supervise each assignment from start to finish in a professional, timely, cost-effective, and safe manner
Acting as the Inspector-In-Charge for various highway construction initiatives, which encompass roadway pavement reconstruction, guiderail installation, flood control measures, and the rehabilitation and replacement of bridges

Qualification

Civil engineering experienceEngineer-In-Training certificateHighway design experienceConstruction project management

Required

Five years of civil engineering experience and an Engineer-In-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
One year of civil engineering experience in highway design, construction or maintenance related projects and a bachelor's degree with major course work in civil engineering
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
