They are seeking an Account Executive to support the strategic sales plan for the Orange County Convention Center, which includes client solicitation, contract preparation, and collaboration with internal teams and local stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Performs sales-related functions in support of the marketing plan which includes: the solicitation of clients and conducting follow-up actions to develop booking dates; quoting rates and initiating formal agreements; and handling pre-event correspondence and meetings
Assists in developing the sales plan for specific market segments. Aggressively pursue existing sales leads and develop new sales leads
Organize client meetings to discuss their requirements
Actively participate in industry related organizations and attend conventions/tradeshows
Meets the Center of Hospitality (CoH) Standards
Work with delivery teams to proactively address problems
Track and prepare reports to assist with sales plan
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, or other closely related field and one year of sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Must have the ability to travel or work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
Preferred
Experience in marketing and sales in a convention center, convention bureau, convention hotel or the hospitality industry
