Gas Monitoring System Technician

Responsibilities
System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform installation, maintenance, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of toxic gas monitoring (TGM) equipment, including detectors, alarms, and control systems
Emergency Response Support: Collaborate closely with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during alarm events, providing essential technical support and expertise to identify and resolve issues
Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety policies and protocols, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure all work complies with federal/state standards like OSHA and NFPA
Operational Rounds: Conduct daily rounds, perform safety inspections, record readings, and monitor online gas and chemical systems
Documentation and Auditing: Maintain accurate, up-to-date procedures and documentation, and perform regular audits to support safety and quality initiatives
Continuous Improvement: Drive quality and cost-saving initiatives by analyzing safety and equipment data and participating in continuous improvement projects
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 4-5 years of technical proficiency with GMS monitoring equipment and systems
Minimum 4 years of experience with safety protocols and regulatory compliance
Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMS equipment
Preferred
Associate's degree
Experience in a similar role within the semiconductor industry or a related field
