Responsibilities
Drive Rising Star’s sourcing & procurement operations, ensuring high quality ingredients and packaging at the best price possible
Act as the go-to for commercialization within the Ops team, responsible for partnering with Brand & Sales to launch new products successfully on our retail partners’ shelves
Lead the commercialization of product optimization projects as they arise (e.g. packaging changes, formula changes, etc.)
Own purchasing & supply planning
Generate forecasts regularly for key ingredient suppliers & co-manufacturing partners
Lead monthly S&OP meetings from a supply planning perspective
Assist finance in modeling COGs & cash flow
Other projects & duties as-assigned – we all wear a lot of hats and aren’t afraid to dive into new tasks!
Qualification
Required
7+ years of Supply Chain & Operations experience in the CPG industry, with a solid understanding of purchasing & procurement, product commercialization, co-manufacturing, and supply planning
Capable of handling the challenges of managing multiple product launch projects simultaneously
Proven in a startup environment; versatile, comfortable with a fast pace, and able to operate autonomously
Great interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with key supply chain partners
Process-oriented mindset with the capability to identify issues, develop scalable solutions, and implement them
Great at Excel, and have some experience in Asana (or other project management software) and an ERP system or two
Proactive problem-solver with a willingness to tackle whatever comes up
Curious to learn, likely to innovate, and willing to challenge existing norms
A proven leader in Operations who wants to continue to accelerate their career
Someone who goes above and beyond, and wants a company that invests in them commensurately
Excited about building a disruptive brand in baking and willing to eat a whole lot of brownies and vanilla ice cream
