Key Account Sales Manager
3TBrands is a family-owned manufacturer of pet products specializing in beds, blankets, toys, and accessories. The Key Account Sales Manager will be responsible for managing customer relationships, securing multi-category sales, and collaborating with various teams to optimize product offerings and sales strategies.

Responsibilities
Manage customer and account relationships including sales training, joint business planning, scorecard evaluations
Develop relationships with all key personnel across multiple departments – Buying, Forecasting, Supply Chain, Finance, etc
Secure multi-category sale of products with all assigned accounts, and future accounts
Prospect for new customers and diligent follow up on sales leads
Manage third-party resources responsible for building and driving revenue and relationships with all related accounts (as noted above) including developing relationships with their key personnel at existing and prospective new accounts
Consistently evaluate industry trends, retailer feedback, consumer feedback, competitive products and retail data to recommend product, packaging, display, communication and selling strategies by category and distribution channel
Prepare sales forecasts as required
Coordinate, collaborate, and own the sales forecast by item with both internal and external forecast analysts as it relates to Buy Plan, Production Orders and Product Availability to optimize inventory supply and in-stock while maximizing inventory turnover
Manage customer dilution and accrual expectations and the timely identification and flushing of slow-moving inventory to maximize maintained profitability and inventory utilization
Negotiate customer agreements and manage the onboarding process of new customers
Work closely with Marketing and Product Development teams to identify product and account white space growth opportunities
Evaluate and propose account promotional activities on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis
Secure approvals and conduct program ROI audits with the Finance Team
Provide consistent reporting on activity conducted with the accounts such as product/category sales performance; competitive insights; sales to forecast variance; sales planning/calendar; action items
Control expenses to budget requirements
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of the pet industry preferred
5 to 8 years of experience in managing distributors, or national, or regional accounts
Key account sales management experience and excellent negotiation skills - Ability to work in a remote environment that requires collaboration, integration, and cross-functional working relationships
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
Ability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations tailored to the audience
Ability to work in non-traditional office locations—airports, restaurants, hotel, home office
Delivery of superior customer service to both internal and external customers
Excellent written and oral communication skills including public speaking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
50% to 75% travel required
Preferred
Experience with reporting software (Tableau, Power BI) preferred
