Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain access control systems and related software in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
Conduct on-site assessments and consultations with clients to determine their specific security needs and requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to access control systems, including card readers, keypads, biometric devices, and controllers
Provide training to clients and end-users on system operation, maintenance, and best practices for security
Collaborate with the Operations Manager and other team members to ensure project timelines and objectives are met
Keep detailed records of work performed, including service reports, equipment inventory, and customer communications
Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in access control and security systems
Respond to service calls and emergencies promptly to address system failures or security breaches
Maintain a professional and customer-focused demeanor when interacting with clients at all times
Perform regular system updates and software upgrades to ensure the security and functionality of access control systems
Travel to client sites to install, repair, replace and train on our products
Support the Project Coordinator and Operations Manager with technical escalations that may arise on projects
All other tasks related to the position or requested by supervisor
Take part and support continuous improvement programs

Required

This position requires the ability to travel up to 100% of the time, as our work takes us nationwide
Proficiency in access control hardware and/or software, with brands such as Dormakaba or Assa Abloy
Strong knowledge of hardware components, including card readers, keypads, and controllers
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and team members
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other languages will be considered an asset, especially Spanish
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must be very organized, able to prioritize tasks, and have developed time management skills
Advance understanding of IT, comp networking, wireless configurations
Able to work with tool, and perform installation, repair at client property
Must maintain professional appearance, and perform responsibilities unsupervised

Preferred

Security industry certifications (e.g., ALOA, SIA) are a plus
College or trade school degree in IT networking/electronics/mechanical or pertinent experience in similar pertinent fields is preferred, but not required
