BMS Technician/Installer
Universal Automation Services is a fast-growing leader in the commercial Building Management Systems sector, seeking motivated individuals to join as Building Automation Controls Technicians. The role involves hands-on installation and wiring of smart building systems, along with comprehensive training to develop troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge in building automation.

Responsibilities
Install and wire controllers, sensors, actuators, and smart devices that make buildings run efficiently
Mount and wire field devices including temperature sensors, pressure transducers, dampers, valves, and VFDs
Work from drawings and schematics—we'll teach you how to read and interpret them
Use your existing HVAC knowledge as a foundation to understand how buildings are controlled
Receive structured, paid training in low-voltage systems, DDC controls, and building automation principles
Learn to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment (multimeters, etc.) with expert guidance
Develop troubleshooting skills for control circuits and system components
Gain exposure to major industry platforms and technologies
Work alongside experienced mentors who want you to succeed
Assist with system start-up and functional testing
Document your work with our support team's help
Interact professionally with clients and other trades on job sites
Qualification
Required
1-3 years in HVAC service/installation, electrical work, low-voltage systems, technical training, or a related hands-on field
Natural curiosity about how things work and a desire to solve problems
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and pride in doing quality work
Willingness to be trained and eagerness to develop new skills
Familiarity with tools, basic electrical concepts, or mechanical systems
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Preferred
HVAC certification or technical school training
Exposure to building controls or energy management systems
Intermittent Computer/tablet skills
OSHA 30 certification (we can help you get this)
