Responsibilities

Review pleadings, discovery, exhibits, and documents provided by counsel
Perform case reading, document analysis, and issue identification
Prepare internal case summaries, timelines, and analytical memoranda
Identify habitability, standard-of-care, brokerage, and property management issues
Assist senior consultants and experts with inspections and technical analysis
Participate in internal case strategy discussions
Serve as a retained expert witness in landlord-tenant, property management, brokerage/agency, and HOA disputes
Conduct property inspections and habitability assessments
Prepare and sign expert reports, declarations, and opinions
Provide deposition and trial testimony
Consult directly with attorneys regarding expert opinions and litigation strategy

Qualification

Required

Minimum ten (10) years of professional experience in real estate brokerage and/or property management
Strong working knowledge of California landlord-tenant law, habitability standards, and industry standard of care
Excellent written, analytical, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated professionalism, objectivity, and credibility in adversarial or litigation settings

Preferred

Certified Property Manager (CPM) and/or California Certified Residential Manager (CCRM)
Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)
Active California real estate broker or salesperson license
Certified Forensic Litigation Consultant (CFLC) or comparable litigation-related credential
