Responsibilities
Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Deploy and manage applications across development, staging, and production environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
Monitor system health, performance, and availability; respond to incidents and outages
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and deployment issues
Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code practices
Manage cloud networking, permissions (IAM), and security best practices
Maintain backups, disaster recovery processes, and system documentation
Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency
Qualification
Required
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, IAM, Cloud Storage, and networking
Experience administering Linux-based systems
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell)
Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or similar)
Strong understanding of Git and version control workflows
Experience monitoring and troubleshooting distributed systems
Working knowledge of backend or full-stack development concepts
Experience supporting applications built with technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, or similar
Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations
Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work independently and manage operational responsibilities
Clear communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
Willingness to learn and adapt as systems and tooling evolve
Preferred
GCP certifications (Associate Cloud Engineer or similar)
3+ years experience with monitoring and observability tools (Cloud Monitoring, logging, metrics)
2+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
Familiarity with Agile or iterative development environments
Previous experience in a DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or Systems Engineering role
