Assistant Event Coordinator
Sheeco Events is seeking freelance wedding coordinators to support sustainably-minded wedding days in the greater Seattle area. The role involves day-of on-site coordination to ensure that events run smoothly and efficiently, assisting Lead Planners and collaborating with vendors and guests.

Responsibilities
Assist Lead Coordinator with, setup, breakdown, guest flow, and logistics, supporting smooth, efficient event flow
Attend 1–2 planning or logistics calls with the client and Lead Planner prior to the event
Execute wedding-day timelines while remaining flexible and adaptable to real-time needs
Work 10–12-hour event days with little to no downtime
Collaborate respectfully with vendors, venues, and wedding parties
Support sustainable event practices when applicable (reuse systems, mindful setup and breakdown, waste-reduction efforts)
Remain calm, organized, and solution-oriented under pressure
Give and receive direction professionally and with care for team dynamics
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Excellent customer service mindset
Ability to problem-solve thoughtfully and stay composed in fast-paced environments
Reliable transportation required
Available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Physical Requirements: Wedding days are active and require standing and walking for long periods. Coordinators may occasionally need to lift or move items (approximately 30–40 pounds) during setup, transitions, or breakdown
Preferred
Interest in working events; wedding experience is a plus
Food service, banquet, hospitality, or event experience encouraged
Formal education and extensive experience are not required — we value willingness to learn, professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
