Growth Strategist
AJF Growth is a company focused on growing DTC brands profitably. The Growth Strategist is responsible for driving exceptional performance across a portfolio of DTC brands by excelling in forecasting, media buying, and creative development.

Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and update cohort-based forecasts for each client
Guide spend decisions around new product releases, promotions, and seasonality
Provide operational guidance to clients based on forecast insights
Own daily media buying and ad account performance across Meta, AppLovin, and other advertising channels
Execute daily budget allocation, testing, and scaling by leveraging cost controls
Monitor performance trends across all acquisition channels and take proactive action
Maintain optimal and scalable account structures according to AJF Growth media buying playbook
Stay current on platform best practices, new features, and measurement approaches
Work with Prometheus, our AI cowriter and operational assistant to build and update weekly Brand Plans for each client
Explore new ad messaging to find new winning angles
Identify winning messages in account, then expand them with additional storytelling frameworks and ad formats
Ensure creative concepts are executed and launched weekly through direct collaboration with the Creative Strategist
Maintain and continuously update each client's Brand Manifesto with current insights, learnings, and positioning
Deliver consistent, high-quality client communication via Slack and weekly client meetings
Produce in-depth weekly performance reports with clear insights and next steps
Clearly explain performance, strategy shifts, testing plans, and forecasts to clients
Meet clients for 2-day in-person strategy meetings once every 6 months
Coordinate with and direct the Media Buying Assistant, delegating executional tasks while maintaining accountability for outcomes
Lead the Pod L10 Meeting and collaborate with creative team leads
Uphold AJF Growth's standards for excellence, integrity, and consistent execution
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience growing DTC brands, either agency-side or brand-side
Deep expertise in Meta advertising
Experience building and working from cohort-based forecasts
Strong creative instincts—able to identify what's working, why, and what to test next
Excellent client communication skills—clear, confident, and consultative
Comfortable leading a team through influence rather than formal authority
Preferred
Familiarity with AppLovin or other mobile platforms
