Responsibilities
Oversee inmate workers in the manufacturing, production, or processing of products or services within SCI Phoenix West Correctional Industries Regional Laundry Plant
Train and supervise inmates in the industry's practices, methods, and procedures while providing demonstrations, explanations, and close supervision
Plan, assign, review, and evaluate the work of assigned inmates and maintain training progress reports, wage reports, and attendance records
Ensure that production meets established standards of quality and quantity through regular inspections of equipment, raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of factory equipment
Qualification
Required
Three years of experience in the production of goods or services; or
An associate degree in industrial technology, operations management, business administration, or a related field; and one year of work experience in the production of goods or services; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of work experience in the production of goods or services
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
You must meet the PA residency requirement
You must be able to perform essential job functions
You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
