Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and optimize labels using Bartender, including advanced templates, dynamic data handling, automation, and printing logic
Develop and maintain Visual Basic / VBScript logic to enable conditional formatting, automation, and system integration
Implement and enforce standardized label formats across systems and manufacturing sites to support harmonization and compliance
Lead the full label lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, validation, production deployment, and ongoing support
Troubleshoot complex label-related issues across MES, Robar, ERP/EBS, and Bartender environments
Maintain system documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and knowledge transfer materials
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, and IT teams to align labeling workflows with end-to-end business processes
Lead and facilitate cross-functional workshops to define future-state workflows, roles, responsibilities, and operating models
Ensure solutions comply with cGMP, data integrity principles, and regulatory standards
Develop and execute test plans and scripts for label functionality, system integrations, and printing performance
Support validation deliverables (URS, FRS, IQ/OQ/PQ) and change control activities
Ensure data accuracy, traceability, security, and compliance across all labeling solutions
Provide hands-on support for system upgrades, site implementations, and production rollouts
Participate in incident management and root cause analysis, supporting cross-team triage activities
Proactively identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and documentation enhancements
Qualification
Required
Expert-level proficiency in Bartender label design software, including automation and server components
Strong Visual Basic / VBScript development skills applied to label automation and dynamic behaviors
Proven experience troubleshooting complex labeling ecosystems involving MES, ERP, and printing hardware
Background in biotech, pharmaceutical, or cell therapy environments, including experience with: Materials management, Batch / lot control, Serialization, Regulated manufacturing operations
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Experience working in GxP-regulated environments, including system validation and compliance requirements
Demonstrated ability to lead workshops, manage stakeholders, and drive structured, process-oriented project execution
Preferred
Experience leading label system standardization, migration, or transformation initiatives
Familiarity with computer system validation (CSV) documentation: URS, FRS, IQ, OQ, PQ
Experience supporting enterprise labeling architectures integrated with MES (e.g., PAS-X), ERP, or middleware platforms
