Responsibilities
Sandblast and prepare parts for primer and topcoat applications
Read and interpret instructions from assembly drawings and work orders
Inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications
Perform minor assembly as necessary to prepare parts for painting
Move parts in and out of the paint booth using proper equipment
Mix paints and coatings according to specified ratios and requirements
Select, prepare, and apply coatings to achieve the required color and finish
Ensure all technical specifications, quality, and safety standards are met
Complete all required paperwork accurately and timely
Operate Class B forklifts for material handling
Maintain paint booth, equipment, and supplies in a clean and safe condition
Order paint and related supplies as required
Investigate and test new paint products and make recommendations for improvements
Support lean culture initiatives through waste elimination, continuous improvement, and customer-focused quality
Qualification
Required

Ability to mix, match, and apply paints, primers, and coatings
Familiarity with spray-paint equipment, sandblasting tools, and respirator use
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions
Forklift certification (Class B) or ability to obtain
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Employees must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
Employees may need to climb ladders, work at heights, or operate forklifts and overhead cranes with proper training and certification
Preferred
Industrial painting and/or sandblasting experience preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience in industrial paint, auto body painting is advantageous
