Remx is partnering with a prestigious client in Denver, Colorado, seeking an experienced Project Accountant, preferably from the Construction industry. The role involves maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations
Facilitate month, quarter and year-end close processes
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain inventory master records in various software applications
Calculate quarterly inventory counts ensuring accuracy of the physical inventory and reported results
Prepare quarter and year-end physical inventory adjustments
Calculate monthly depreciation
Reconcile corporate billing systems to GL
Meet all processing and reporting deadlines
Responding to information requests
Daily verification of material tickets to ensure accuracy of material job cost
Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies in KPI’s
Prepare monthly financial package from consolidated reporting model, including supplemental reports and KPI’s
Update consolidated reporting model with budgets/LAE’s. Includes the budgets within the model, rolling to the next year and confirm working effectively and correctly
Reporting writing and maintenance in Power BI and other applications
Performs other duties assigned tasks

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
1- 3 years recent Staff Accountant experience; construction industry experience a plus
Proficiency in general financial and cost accounting as well as general accounting
Exceptional analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with team members
Ability to prioritize and work efficiently and accurately in high-volume setting
Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Advanced MS Excel, MS Office

Preferred

Knowledge of Power BI software is a plus but not required
