Account Manager - Walmart Fashion - New York
Scale Up Search is working with a leading global knitwear brand specializing in trend-driven, digitally designed garments for retail brands. They are seeking an Account Manager to own and manage their Walmart business, overseeing day-to-day account management and product development coordination.
Responsibilities
Own the day-to-day management of the Walmart account as the primary commercial and operational point of contact
Partner with Design, Merchandising, and Production to deliver trend-driven knitwear programs aligned to Walmart requirements
Manage item setup, submissions, and maintenance across Walmart systems including Retail Link, Supplier One, Scintilla, and AEX
Prepare and deliver line presentations, proposals, and sales materials tailored to Walmart’s commercial objectives
Monitor weekly sales and benchmark reports; identify risks and opportunities and act decisively
Conduct competitive research in-store and online; translate insights into commercial knitwear opportunities
Oversee product approvals across fit, construction, yarns, trims, and colour with disciplined follow-through
Coordinate closely with overseas factories on costing, production timelines, and delivery schedules to ensure on-time shipment
Troubleshoot order, production, and delivery issues in real time with suppliers and Walmart partners
Maintain accurate account records including order books, sample tracking, and production status
Lead preparation for line reviews, key meetings, and market appointments
Qualification
Required
2+ years of apparel account management or sales experience, with direct Walmart experience required
Experience working with knitwear or technically driven apparel categories strongly preferred
Hands-on knowledge of Walmart systems including Retail Link, item setup, supplier quotes, and AEX
Clear understanding of Walmart's expectations around speed, compliance, margin, and execution
Highly organised, detail-driven operator comfortable managing multiple timelines and SKUs
Strong commercial instincts with the ability to balance trend, cost, and manufacturability
Confident communicator able to manage buyers, internal teams, and overseas manufacturing partners
