Outside Sales, Waterworks

PACE Supply Corp. is seeking a motivated and driven Outside Sales Representative to support their Waterworks Division in the Sacramento, CA area. This role is responsible for developing new business, growing existing accounts, and managing strong partnerships with underground contractors and municipalities while executing sales strategies to drive revenue and profitability.

Responsibilities

Maintain strong relationships with key customers to deliver a high level of service, trust, and dependability
Serve as a primary point of contact for customer needs, job-site support, and ongoing project coordination
Gather and share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to support sales strategies
Develop and maintain relationships with vendor partners to ensure competitive pricing and support sales and profitability goals
Collaborate with vendor partners to support product availability and market competitiveness
Work closely with the Estimating team to provide pricing guidance aligned with customer strategies and market conditions
Partner with Project Managers to ensure customer expectations are met throughout the lifecycle of awarded projects
Participate in weekly sales meetings to review pricing, bidding activity, sales strategies, account performance, material requirements, and operational excellence
Collaborate with internal branch teams to ensure alignment, effective communication, and customer satisfaction

Required

High school diploma (or equivalent) is preferred. A combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance of the job would qualify
Minimum of 5 years of experience within the Waterworks Industry. Strong knowledge of material and application
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task
Strong communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Proper Phone Etiquette, Phocas Dashboards, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity, Effective written and oral communication
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record

Preferred

10+ years of experience in sales, estimating and project management within the Waterworks Industry is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred
