Responsibilities
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions for government systems
Strong command of SQL and experience administering and developing relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) as well as NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
Optimize database performance and conduct system tuning
Diagnose and resolve database errors and performance issues
Provide on-site support and monitoring for classified systems, ensuring compliance with security protocols
Offer 24/7 on-call support to address urgent issues
Develop, upgrade, and troubleshoot mission-specific database updates
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
Qualification
Required
Secret or Top Secret or TS/SCI Clearance
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and minimum 6-9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4-7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 11-13 years of prior related experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Experience with relational and dimensional data modeling
Experience in Agile Software Development processes and methodologies such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban

DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification
