ECLSS Fluids Test Engineer

Responsibilities

Conduct leak checks and operate high-pressure fluid systems for spacecraft testing
Work with refrigerants, coolants, and oxygen systems, ensuring proper operation and safety
Support spacecraft test engineering efforts, troubleshooting and optimizing system performance

Required

10 or more years of test engineering experience
5 or more years of test engineering experience on spacecraft
Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift assignments
Proficiency in leak detection, high-pressure system operations, and fluid system troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient spacecraft testing
Experience working with refrigerant, coolant, and oxygen systems in support of human spaceflight programs
Experience developing and executing procedures for leak checks and performing functional testing of spacecraft ECLSS
Experience acting as an effective technical leader by mentoring and guiding junior engineers, fostering their professional growth, growing their technical capabilities, and cultivating a collaborative and inclusive team culture
Ability to operate high-pressure pneumatic equipment, including pressurized flight hardware
Experience as a testing Task Lead to technicians, QA team members, and other test engineers
Possesses strong troubleshooting capabilities required to document and resolve non-conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware
