INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST II (CYBERSECURITY) (SR-22) [1 vacancy]
NEOGOV is seeking to fill a vacant Information Technology Specialist II (Cybersecurity) position in Honolulu. This role involves the day-to-day administration of cybersecurity tools and services, providing tier 2 monitoring and response to cybersecurity incidents, and ensuring the security of various technology environments and projects.

Responsibilities
Monitor, evaluate and analyze cybersecurity events generated daily by cybersecurity tools, applications, systems and services
Analyze relevant logs and events generated by IT, SCADA and OT systems to identify potential cybersecurity incidents
Conduct correlation of events and logs from multiple sources and security platforms to identify potential cybersecurity incidents
Develop queries and scripts to support investigations and efficiently correlate data across multiple sources
Investigate and analyze cybersecurity events and document incidents pursuant to Board policies and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in computer science, public or business administration, accounting, mathematics or a related field
Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods and procedures, one of which shall have involved the conduct of feasibility studies and the analysis and design of information technology systems for the processing of data AND six months of the two years of experience described above must have been in the specialty area of cybersecurity
Knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration, organization, and management
Knowledge of data processing systems analysis, design, and development
Knowledge of the operation, characteristics, and capabilities of various types of information technology equipment
Knowledge of research and statistical methods and techniques
Ability to gather, analyze, correlate and evaluate facts, and make sound judgments
Ability to determine feasibility of converting various manual work processes to automated technologies
Ability to plan efficient organizational structure, work flow procedures and processes and integrate these into the overall information technology system
Ability to prepare clear and concise reports and guidelines
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Preferred
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS from an accredited four-year college or university may be substituted for six months of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods, and procedures
A Master's degree in Computer Science or MIS from an accredited four-year college or university may be substituted for one year of experience in the analysis of operating practices, methods, and procedures
