Business Development Manager

CLEAResult is leading the transition to a sustainable and energy-efficient future. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive state-level growth by identifying opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and supporting the pursuit process.

Responsibilities

Generate leads and engage prospective clients within assigned state or territory
Maintain industry connections to stay informed about state utility trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity
Support early pursuit efforts by identifying potential partners and contributing to teaming decisions
Lead development of state-level growth strategies aligned with regulatory landscapes and market opportunities
Provide state-specific insights to clients and internal teams
Contribute to regional strategy discussions as appropriate
Apply established BD principles, industry practices, and company standards to advance opportunities
Collaborate with BD Directors, Solutions, and Delivery teams to support proposal development
Participate in client meetings to position the company effectively
Work closely with regional BD team members to coordinate opportunity planning and client engagement
Share insights and information that enhance regional forecasting, planning, and pipeline management

Qualification

Energy efficiency experienceBusiness development principlesState-level market dynamicsRegulatory environmentsUtility program models

Required

Experience in the energy efficiency industry required
6–9 years with a BA; 4–7 years with an MBA
Strong understanding of core BD principles and practices
Strong understanding of state-level market dynamics and regulatory environments
Strong understanding of industry standards and typical utility program models
