Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of defense-oriented civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Conduct research, draft pleadings/motions/discovery, prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on strategy and case execution
Provide counsel to clients in insurance, healthcare, professional services, and commercial sectors
Deliver high-quality, results-driven representation in state and federal courts
Qualification
Required
Active Texas Bar license
1-6 years of relevant civil litigation experience (defense-oriented strongly preferred)
Strong academic/professional credentials and compatibility with defense-focused work
Excellent research, writing, advocacy, and client communication skills
Interest in industries like insurance, healthcare, construction, or commercial litigation
Preferred
Bonus for demonstrated courtroom/trial aptitude or specific experience in the firm's core areas
