Responsibilities
Provide expert coverage advice, draft coverage opinions/positions, and counsel clients on policy interpretation, exposure management, and dispute resolution
Handle complex coverage litigation from inception through resolution, including research, motion practice, discovery, and preparation for hearings/mediations/trials where coverage issues are central
Work directly with high-profile clients on risk and coverage strategies across multiple industries
Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute effective case strategies
Qualification
Required
4+ years of focused insurance coverage experience (policyholder or insurer-side; strong preference for sophisticated commercial coverage matters)
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills with courtroom/litigation aptitude
Ability to manage a dynamic caseload with a billable expectation of approximately 1850 hours
Bar admission in Illinois (or eligibility; multi-jurisdictional experience a plus)
