Responsibilities
Develop full-scope estimates for civil site work projects including earthwork, grading, utilities, stormwater, and paving
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
Review plans, specifications, and contract documents (DOT and local municipality experience a plus)
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids
Participate in bid strategy, risk assessment, and value engineering
Support preconstruction through project handoff
Maintain cost history and contribute to estimating best practices
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience estimating civil/site work projects
Experience with both public and private site development projects
Proficiency with estimating tools such as HCSS, Agtek, Bid2Win, Bluebeam, or similar
Ability to manage multiple bids independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and commercial skills
Preferred
Strong understanding of Maryland DOT, county, and municipal work
