Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of a major part of the organization's procurement strategy. Take personal responsibility for a limited number of mission-critical procurement programs
Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes (i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration
Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy
Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals
Identify and manage stakeholders up to top management level, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions
Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for a large portion of the business
Manage the delivery of a major part of the organization's supplier management program. Take personal responsibility for a small number of mission-critical supplier relationships
Qualification
Required
University / Post Graduate (Masters Degree)
Experience level enables job holder to provide leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges
Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames
Applies expertise to act as the organizational authority on developing appropriate plans or performing necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements
Uses expertise to act as organizational authority on planning, organizing, prioritizing and overseeing activities to efficiently meet business objectives
Uses expertise to act as the organizational authority on developing, monitoring, interpreting and understanding policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives
Acts with expertise as the organization's authority on using clear and effective verbal communications skills to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies
Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on costing, budgeting and finance tasks
Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on analyzing data trends for use in reports to help guide decision making
Applies expertise to act as the organizational authority on making sure the organization develops and maintains the culture, values and design it needs to reach its objectives while managing structural change
Acts as the organization's authority and established expert to develop solutions based on an understanding of the business environment and objectives
Acts as the organizational authority and established expert on acquiring, organizing, protecting and processing data to fulfill business objectives
Negotiates as the organizational authority and established expert to help the organization by obtaining consensus between two or more internal or external parties who may have different interests
