Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security tools
Monitor network traffic and security alerts to detect, analyze, and respond to potential threats or breaches
Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard network infrastructure
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis of network systems
Maintain and update security patches, firmware, and configurations for network devices
Develop and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and system architecture
Coordinate incident response and forensic analysis for network-related security incidents
Evaluate, recommend, and implement new security technologies and tools
Ensure compliance with organizational, legal, and regulatory cybersecurity requirements
Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end users on security best practices
Perform regular backups and disaster recovery tests to maintain system integrity and availability
Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure secure network design, architecture, and integration
Review and analyze security logs and reports for anomalies or policy violations
Participate in security audits, reviews, and external assessments

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
Three years of experience with administering network systems, firewalls, routers, switches, and security tools

Preferred

Proficient with network management, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPN configuration, vulnerability assessment, threat analysis, operating system security, security policy development, and regulatory compliance
