TalentBurst, an Inc 5000 company, is seeking an IT Consultant 2 to support their clients' application development group. The role involves providing expert guidance, knowledge transfer, and problem-solving to modernize applications from Perl/MySQL to Java/React/MariaDB on an AWS platform.

Responsibilities

Provide deep expertise to project teams, review deliverables (like system requirements, test results) for accuracy, and validate that solutions meet defined standards
Simplify complex technical information for development team, develop high level documentation, and mentor team members
Analyze business operations, identify areas for technical improvement, troubleshoot issues, and recommend new technologies or process enhancements
Translate business needs into technical requirements, define procedures, and set performance standards for tasks
Develop modernized code components as time permits, conduct peer reviews, pair programming
Plan and review results of system testing and user acceptance testing activities

Required

Expert in all versions of the Perl Programming Language - Required 10 Years
Experience with Java, react full stack development - Required 10 Years

Communicating, analyzing, and resolving technical development issues and risks - Highly desired
Designing test plans and testing Java applications - Highly desired
