Responsibilities
Assist clients pursue immigration benefits
Assist attorneys in the efforts to provide representation for clients in applications, hearings or proceedings before a variety of courts, tribunals and agencies
Helping their assigned teams and the legal department pursue community-based systemic reform and advocacy aimed at reforming unforgiving federal immigration laws
Provide screenings and intakes to potential new clients on a regular basis, at Legal Triage, and other events
Provide clients with effective, responsive, compassionate, and efficient service
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Strong understanding of immigration law and procedures
Excellent research and writing skills
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Commitment to social justice and advocacy for immigrant rights
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
