Start in 2026 SummerThe State of Tennessee's Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is offering a summer internship in their Cybercrime Investigation Division. This opportunity provides college and post-graduate students with exposure to cyber-related criminal investigations and the chance to learn how the Cyber Squad investigates and supports law enforcement in tackling cybercrime.

Responsibilities
Interns assigned to the Cyber Squad will be exposed to various types of cyber-related criminal investigations, cryptocurrency tracing, the collection and preservation of digital and non-digital evidence, cybercrime research, public awareness, education, intelligence sharing, support, and training
Those assigned to a Cyber Squad Internship will gain an understanding of how the Cyber Squad investigates complex technology facilitated crimes, as well as how the Cyber Squad supports TBI Special Agents and our other federal, state, and local law enforcement partners across Tennessee to investigate, identify, and arrest/deter cyber criminals

Required
This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you may be required to provide information about your criminal history in order to be considered for this position
Internships are open to college juniors, seniors, or those pursuing post-graduate education
Preferred
Working toward obtaining a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph. D related to computer science, computer information systems, information technology, information security, digital forensics, cybersecurity, cryptocurrency, accounting, or other technology-related courses
