They are seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer responsible for operating LiDAR equipment to collect precise spatial data and assisting senior project engineers in various engineering tasks.

Responsibilities
Operate LiDAR equipment in the fields to collect accurate special data for mapping, surveying, and other projects
Conduct pre-scan preparations, including equipment set up, calibration, and quality control checks
Follow established scanning procedures and safety protocols to ensure data integrity amd personal safety
Collaborate with team members to plan scanning routes and optimize data collection efficiently
Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and escalate to senior technicians/supervisors when necessary
Maintain organized records of scanning activities, including data logs, field notes, and equipment maintenance records
Assist with data processing tasks, including point cloud registration, filtering, and quality assurance
Participate in on-the-job training and professional development opportunities to expand technical skills and knowledge
Travel to customers site as needed
Work alongside Senior Project Engineers to:
Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and Chief Engineering’s policies
Effectively monitor and control project process, resource utilization, project financials and provides updates on project statuses to the team
Perform construction quantity estimates and/or obtain bids, proposals, and quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors as needed for respective projects
Maintain relationships with customers, external contractors, suppliers and equipment vendors
Develop preliminary engineering designs and concepts for multi-disciplinary projects
Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications amongst multi-discipline engineering team and subconsultants. For 3D modeling projects, responsible for regularly reviewing the model with a focus on gauging the level of inter-discipline coordination
Qualification
Required
BS or Associate degree in Engineering
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment
Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills
Willingness to travel and work in varying outdoor environments and weather conditions
Physical ability to lift and carry scanning equipment and perform fieldwork tasks as needed
Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint)
Ability to apply local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to engineering design, safety, and construction administration
Knowledge of the principles and practices of multi-discipline and/or discipline-specific engineering related to the design, construction, implementation, or deliverable submission of projects
Preferred
Experience in industrial environments
Experience with LiDAR technology
Experience in AutoDesk Design products
Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software such as ArcGIS is a plus
PE license
