Responsibilities

Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into software equivalent systems (rehosting)
Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe

Qualification

Required

8+ years' experience with Mainframe migrations
5+ years with IBM ITX/ITXA (map design, type trees, rules, deploy)

Preferred

Hands-on migration experience from Mainframe Gentran (z/OS) to ITXA on Linux
EDI/B2B integration experience
Proficient with Linux administration for application runtime (services, filesystem, permissions, shell scripting)
Familiarity with Mainframe concepts: JCL, batch scheduling, data sets etc
Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe
Experience migrating from IBM Gentran to IBM ITXA
