Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services using Java and related technologies
Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams
Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of applications
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and production support
Work with databases to design efficient data models and queries
Follow SDLC, Agile, and banking compliance standards

Required

10+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development
Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
Experience with REST APIs and Microservices architecture
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Experience with Unix/Linux environments
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Must be local to Charlotte, NC

Preferred

Banking or Financial Services domain experience
Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, etc.)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Knowledge of security, authentication, and authorization frameworks
