Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Growth Team to develop full-funnel, audience-aware and messaging-aware advertising plans across Google (Search/Shopping/YouTube/PMAX), Amazon/retail media, and social media channels like Meta, TikTok, and others as needed
Translate client goals into tactical budget allocations, flighting, and testing roadmaps with clear go/no-go criteria
Design 'Scenario A/B/C' annual plans based on client goals tied to merchandise mix, seasonality, and expected constraints
Keep a pulse of active advertising activities, performance trends, and changes in order to:
Help adapt to challenges (like ad spend changes, unexpected product sales performance)
Bring a bigger-picture lens to make sure advertising tactics stay aligned with client goals
Identify opportunities for growth, performance gains, or new testing
Maintain a high standard of quality for campaign builds, optimization, and expansions
Support our experienced advertising team as a collaborator, reviewer, or just a second set of eyes but ready jump in hands-on when needed
Act as a more hands-on collaborator in Google Advertising (campaign architecture, PMAX segmentation strategy, product feed hygiene, oversee GMC monitoring & issue triage, and policy/compliance guardrails)
Guide weekly optimization: creative rotation and asset grouping, audience iteration, keyword/query sculpting, placements, pacing, and budget rebalancing to reach target efficiency and scale
Define success metrics and translate performance into client-facing stories and action plans
Lead channel-specific and cross-channel testing (incrementality, audience/message splits, creative concepts, landing pages)
Lead monthly calls and own overall success for key client accounts and play a senior supporting role for other clients, including running annual and quarterly planning meetings
Own client performance reporting: refine and add narratives and insights (with focus on larger accounts) and make sure monthly reports effectively speak to the client’s needs
Support client communication and expectation management for advertising plans, translating performance data into clear narratives, guiding prioritization, and educating clients how their advertising ecosystem works together to help them make the best decisions
Lead paid media specialists as a manager, mentor, resource, and advocate to help them perform at their best, maintain best practices/SOPs, and work together effectively as a team
Coordinate with creative, analytics, and account teams to keep briefs sharp and keep work moving forward
Help us continue to improve our systems and processes to make great performance repeatable with lightweight playbooks, checklists, templates, etc
Audit top accounts and advertising plans/roadmaps to understand the current landscape, identify any gaps, and share recommendations for improvement
Implement first advertising initiatives (improvements, new testing/optimization, etc.) and be fully integrated in strategy, planning, and reporting
Demonstrable lift against targets (efficiency or revenue), scenario plans locked for each client, and team operating to plans and systems
Qualification

5–8+ years in performance media for eCommerce/DTC with direct ownership of spend and targets
Proven media planning chops with hands-on experience building and managing campaigns in Meta, Google, and Amazon
Strategic thinker with the ability to flow between strategy and tactical execution with ease
