Soc/Clin Research Specialist

Inside Higher Ed is a global leader in higher education, and they are seeking a Soc/Clin Research Specialist to support the research of Dr. Kelsey Bonfils at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The role involves coordinating research studies focused on social cognition and recovery in schizophrenia, including participant recruitment, data management, and assisting with regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

Assisting with research protocol development
Participant recruitment and retention
IRB preparation and submission
Data collection and management
Help drive participant recruitment strategies
Serve as a liaison with community and clinic partners to support enrollment and engagement
Carrying out human subjects research tasks such as consenting participants
Administering assessments and questionnaires
Ensuring standardized procedures and quality control are maintained
Data entry
Data cleaning
Database maintenance
Assisting with preparation of regulatory documents, presentations, and reports
Work across multiple studies in the lab
Help train and support undergraduate research assistants as directed
Work closely with participants with severe psychopathology
Administer diagnostic, performance-based, self-report, and qualitative research procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions

Research experience with people experiencing psychosis and a demonstrated interest in promoting recovery from serious mental illnesses
