Responsibilities
Support all aspects of cost and inventory accounting
Perform month-end close responsibilities
Prepare journal entries related to labor, overhead, and inventory
Analyze variances and provide clear financial insights
Review and maintain standard costs; support BOM updates
Reconcile balance sheet accounts related to inventory and production
Support audit requests related to cost accounting
Partner cross-functionally on reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory monitoring
Provide financial guidance to operational leaders
Participate in special projects and process improvements
Manage and mentor one accountant
Review accounting processes and recommend improvements
Ensure adherence to internal controls and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
3–5+ years of cost and inventory accounting experience
Strong cost analytics and attention to detail
ERP experience required (QAD a plus)
Advanced Excel and strong systems skills
Comfortable being hands-on and owning the details
Preferred
CPA or CMA a plus, not required
