Responsibilities

Design, build next generation productivity solutions that support development activity of 1000+ YouTube Ads engineers across multiple binaries in the stack

Own, develop, and execute on the long-term strategy to make YouTube Ads development infrastructure reliable, debuggable, fast, efficient, and future-proof

Identify collaboration opportunities with other Engineering productivity teams that attempt to solve similar problems to implement generic solutions that will advance the Engineering productivity landscape within Google

Provide development best practice consultation for Engineering teams, and identify development workflow inefficiencies and come up with best practice recommendations

Drive adoptions of various home grown tools by influencing and enforcing minimal test coverage requirements across multiple partner teams

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree

2 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks)

Experience with test automation development

Experience with Engineering Tools and Infrastructure

Experience with test design

Preferred

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields

2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms

Experience in distributed systems, OS/kernel, network system design and large-scale storage systems
