Responsibilities

Strategic Collaboration: Proactively engage with Operations teams and stakeholders to ensure supply continuity, risk mitigation, and alignment with the directives of the Senior Director/Director of Operations Sourcing
Program Leadership: Lead or co-lead high-impact, pan-Medtronic Operations Sourcing programs and projects, focusing on both strategic initiatives and day-to-day business objectives to achieve team goals
Supplier Performance: Champion efforts to improve supplier delivery performance, using Supplier On Time In Full (OTIF) metrics to drive measurable results and accountability
Risk Management: Oversee supplier production capacity reviews, identify potential supply chain risks, and spearhead mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply at a global (Pan-MDT) level
Portfolio & Risk Reduction: Collaborate on Portfolio Component Assessments and risk reduction projects with suppliers, ensuring supply chain robustness and resilience
Process Optimization: Enhance escalation and tier management processes in accordance with Medtronic Production System (MPS) guidelines, supporting efficient and effective operations
Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in Operations Sourcing standard work, with a focus on functional excellence, zero-loss mindset, SOGL (Supplier On-Time Goods Logistics), scrap reduction, and Last-Time-Buy (LTB)/Supplier Improvement Plans (SIP)
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Suppliers, Operations Scheduling, Supply Network Planning, Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Operations Quality, Category Management, and other internal partners

Required

A bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant supply chain experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant supply chain experience
Previous experience working in a manufacturing site or an operations-driven environment

Preferred

Demonstrated experience with integrated manufacturing software platforms, enabling seamless operations and data-driven decision-making
Working familiarity with Demand Flow Technology and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive process efficiency and continuous improvement
Proven track record in leading and influencing negotiations, managing complex projects, troubleshooting challenges, conducting problem-solving analysis, and applying strategic thinking in collaborative team environments
Exposure to supply chain management, planning, purchasing, materials handling, and inventory control within a dynamic operational setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project), with advanced Excel capabilities including vlookup, pivot tables, formulas, and macros
Exceptional communication, leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams
Demonstrated influencing skills to achieve business results across matrixed and virtual organizations
Experience within the medical device sector, with knowledge of FDA/GMP regulations and international medical device standards
